Job Title: Assembly Line Worker
Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our assembly line team. You will work in a fast-paced environment on the storm door and retractable door production lines. This role involves various assembly tasks including working with hand tools, quality checking, and packaging products.

Responsibilities

• Work on the storm door and retractable door assembly lines.
• Perform tasks such as pounding glass, attaching handles, bolting frames, and checking parts for quality.
• Pack products, wipe down doors, and look for scratches and dents.
• Cross-train in several different areas including assembling door frames, packaging, and drilling.
• Stand, twist, lean, and use your arms and hands frequently throughout the day.
• Utilize drills, hand tools, and other equipment as needed.
• Maintain a fast pace to stay with production requirements.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally.
• 1+ years of production/assembly experience.
• Ability to read and use a tape measure.
• Fluency in speaking and reading English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment for 1+ years.
• Ability to be on your feet all day and use hand tools.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in general production, labor, and assembly roles.
• Proficiency with hand tools and assembly line equipment.

Work Environment

You will work in a clean production environment with varying temperatures from 62 to 110 degrees. The floor is highly diverse with approximately 250 people and 17 different languages spoken. The production floor includes five lines set up with conveyor belts for assembly tasks. You must wear steel-toed boots and provide your own mask. Eye wear and hearing protection will be provided. Pants or jeans are required, and headwear must be shoulder length or shorter.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Moines, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.20/hr.
