The Purchasing & Procurement Manager at BREZ Beverages will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and managing the procurement of raw materials, packaging, and supplies required for beverage production. This role will ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and compliance standards. The specialist will collaborate with Operations, R&D, Marketing, and Vendor Management teams to optimize procurement strategies and maintain strong supplier relationships.

What you will do:

Procurement & Supplier Management:

• Source and procure raw materials, ingredients, and packaging materials in alignment with production needs.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and on-time deliveries.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to optimize cost savings.
• Evaluate vendor performance and resolve any supply chain issues.

Inventory & Demand Planning:

• Monitor inventory levels and align purchasing decisions with demand forecasts.
• Work closely with the Master Planner to ensure raw materials meet production schedules.
• Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions.

Cost & Compliance Management:

• Track procurement budgets and cost variances, ensuring purchases align with financial goals.
• Ensure all purchased materials comply with FDA, USDA Organic, cGMP, and cannabis-related regulations where applicable.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, purchase orders, and supplier agreements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work with R&D and Innovation teams to source new ingredients for product development.
• Collaborate with Marketing & Operations to manage packaging and promotional material procurement.
• Partner with Operations Support for vendor relationship management.

Supervisor Responsibilities

Carry out supervisory responsibilities that align with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees and assisting with planning, assigning, and directing work; celebrating and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Provides regular performance feedback and coaching to direct reports including reviews.

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in beverage, CPG, or food manufacturing industries.
• Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, or similar) and procurement software.
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and contract negotiation skills.
• Understanding of FDA, USDA Organic, and cannabis-related regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple suppliers and maintain cost-efficient procurement strategies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines.
• APICS or CPSM certification is a plus.
• Understanding of sustainable sourcing practices.
• Experience in the CPG/wellness/beverage/supplement industries is a plus.
