PURPOSE OF POSITION Produce defined quantity of parts and components according to company and customer specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
More specifically, the person will:
- Operate various CNC or manual mills to cut shaft keyways, milled flats, drill and/or tapping, and any other required dimensional characteristic per specifications.
- Operate and maintain various handheld electric/air tools.
- Use and understand various paperwork (i.e., schedules, prints, tech standards, etc.).
- Ensure all parts and components are accurate according to specifications.
- Assemble parts and components according to company and customer specifications.
- Use and understand various paperwork, including but not limited to schedules, prints, & tech standards.
- Perform general housekeeping and maintenance on equipment.
- Perform extra assignments in other areas and related task assignments within the work area.
- Regular, consistent attendance.

- Strong commitment to quality and working safely.
- Ability to read various measuring devices (e.g., measuring tape, caliper, micrometer, etc.).
- Ability to work independently or as a team with minimal supervision.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities are required.
- Knowledge of machine tools.
- Effectively communicate and understand job instructions
EDUCATION - EXPERIENCE - COMPUTER SKILLS - High school diploma or a general education degree (GED);
- or one to three months related experience and/or training;
- or equivalent combination of education and experience.
TRAINING - CERTIFICATIONS - LICENSES - Continually participate in additional training related to the job.

- Must be able to frequently stoop/bend.

- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds of equipment with assist available.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.
- Specific hearing abilities required for this job include the ability to hear equipment alarms and the ability to hear instructions from others.
ENVIRONMENTAL ADAPTABILITY - The noise level in the work environment is usually LOUD.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to toxic chemicals, wet or humid conditions (non-weather), outdoor weather conditions, and extreme heat (non-weather).
- The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and vibration.
- Steel-toe safety shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection required where posted. Additional PPE may be required when working in other areas.
