Your Role as a Junior Financial Analyst Extraordinaire:

Are you ready to make a real impact at our property and casualty insurance company? As a Junior Financial Analyst, you'll be the hero behind our finance team, ensuring our financial processes are top-notch and our strategic decisions are data-driven. You'll navigate the complexities of financial analysis with ease, keep us ahead of the curve, and help us stay profitable while always looking out for future opportunities.

What You'll Do:

• Master Financial Reporting : Dive into preparing comprehensive financial reports and creating dynamic dashboards.
• Exciting Variance Analysis : Uncover trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement with exciting variance analysis.
• Key Player in Budgeting and Forecasting : Be a key player in the budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering data and performing financial modeling.
• Balance Sheet and Income Statement Reconciliation : Take charge of balance sheet and income statement reconciliations, providing timely insights to correct discrepancies.
• Collaborative Financial Information Gathering : Team up with various departments to gather financial information and support business initiatives.
• Month-End and Year-End Closing Activities : Get involved in the action with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Special Projects and Ad-Hoc Analyses : Jump into special projects and ad-hoc analyses as needed, adding variety to your workday.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in Finance or Accounting from a four-year college or university.
• Internship or previous work experience in finance is a plus.
• Finance experience in the property and casualty insurance market is a plus.
• Exceptional Analytical Skills : Master the art of interpreting complex data and making impactful, data-driven decisions.
• Proficiency in Financial Software : Excel in Microsoft Excel and other powerful tools like QuickBooks, SAP, SQL, and Power BI.
• Solid Financial Foundation : Leverage your strong understanding of financial principles and accounting practices.

While remote work is an option, we prefer candidates to be located in the Sarasota area.
