Job Description/Purpose:

An equipment technician is vital to the success of the flooring installation crews as our equipment flows in and out of the warehouse. The technician receives equipment used on a job, cleans/repairs/maintains equipment, stages prepared equipment in a ready-to-use state and keeps a clean and professional shop environment. We are looking for someone who takes pride in creating an efficient workspace. A successful technician has good ideas to improve efficiency, creative ways to solve problems, and a desire to be a resource for our installation crews to increase productivity.

Position Responsibilities:

> Maintain and promote a safe work environment

> Maintains professional appearance of the equipment and shop area

> Safely uses tools, power tools, and lifts

> Maintain accurate repair/preventative maintenance records

> Read repair tags and diagnose equipment issues

> Order parts for equipment repairs

> Test run repaired equipment to ensure a complete repair

> Safely handle chemicals associated with cleaning or maintaining equipment

> Assist other team members as needed

> Ability to deliver equipment to job sites as needed

> Positive working relationship with the installation crews

> Opportunities for specialty equipment training - local and out-of-town training as needed

> Ability to take and pass both a drug test and a background check
