Once component pay begins, compensation shifts to a structure based on miles, cases, and stops, with hourly pay provided for any downtime. Excellent local leadership.Main Ingredients of the Job Lead with safety at the forefrontLocal and Layover routes available ( routes are bid by driver tenure )Orders are single pallet picked so no digging at deliveries.Customer orders are selected on plastic palletsFor ease of unloading all route trailers are equipped with liftgatesAll routes are dispatched with assigned powered pallet jacksTractors and route trailers are assigned by driver tenureAll delivery routes start between the hours of 5:00PM and 10:00PM4- and 5-day schedules available with consecutive days off5 th and 6 th day "extra work" is available with paid incentivesPerform backhauls and shuttles as requiredPerform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspectionsAll other tasks as requested by managementPhysical RequirementsAbility to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift requiredComfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift) requiredWhat You Bring to the TableRegister to the FMCSA Clearinghouse*Must be at least 21 years of ageMust have valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualificationsMinimum of six months commercial driving experience; one year of food service experience preferred.Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locationsMust be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.Great delivery truck drivers are crucial to the US Foods® team and one of the important faces of our organization. The anticipated pay structure includes a base hourly rate of $32.43 per hour. Once component pay begins, hourly pay is replaced with compensation based on miles, cases, and stops.
