Location: Jackson, MS

Role and Responsibilities : The Database Administrator maintains the corporate database management systems and ensures the integrity and security of all corporate databases. * The career level will be aligned with the candidate's experience and qualifications

Your responsibilities will include :
  • Maintain all databases; ensure performance, recoverability and security.
  • Ensure data standards according to database best practices.
  • Maintain security within all of the Database environments.
  • Use database utilities to administer database.
  • Monitor, diagnose, and correct problems with the database.
  • Make suggestions for improvements to programs for better database performance as needed.
  • Supply additional technical support for the database and to others that require support.
  • Assist in design reviews before, during and after a database system is created.
  • Evaluate and install third party database software to determine its performance, functionality and usefulness in the SFB environments.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a computer or related field or combination of education and experience
  • Entry level experience in SQL and SQL tuning
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficient in relational database design and implementation
  • Must understand the basic concepts of a database, especially database design and structure
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to function effectively in the workplace as exhibited through ones integrity, courage to act and communication skills.
  • Ability work with others effectively as exhibited through one's respect for people and commitment to teamwork.
