This family owned construction management firm that has been in business for over 45 years is looking for a construction superintendent that would like to be on the developer side to join their team. The majority of their job portfolio is k-12 but they also build in the municipal, multi-family, and commercial spaces. They are extremely financially stable as they have multiple entities under one roof and are looking for someone for the long-term.

Job Summary: The Superintendent will be responsible for managing on-site construction activities for multi-family projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role will require collaboration with project managers, subcontractors, and consultants while maintaining a strong focus on safety, schedule, and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of the on-site construction process for multi-family projects.
• Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Maintain and enforce safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment for all personnel.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress and address any issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Review and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Track and report project progress, potential delays, and solutions to keep projects on track.
• Resolve conflicts and disputes that arise during construction.
• Ensure compliance with all local building codes, permits, and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent
• Multi-family projects required
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.
• Experience working on the developer side is highly preferred.
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project needs.
