Job Description

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee the planning, execution, and successful completion of commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards while maintaining effective communication with stakeholders and ensuring compliance with safety and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Develop detailed project timelines, scopes, and budgets, ensuring alignment with client objectives.
  • Establish project milestones, deliverables, and workflow schedules to maintain consistency and quality.

Team Leadership and Coordination:

  • Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Communicate project expectations clearly and effectively to team members and stakeholders.

Budget Management:

  • Monitor project budgets, control costs, and provide updates on financial performance regularly.
  • Proactively address cost overruns while identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and address potential risks, including delays, budget discrepancies, and regulatory challenges.
  • Develop contingency plans to minimize project disruptions and maintain progress.

Client and Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates on project performance.
  • Build and maintain strong professional relationships to foster positive collaboration.

Quality Control and Compliance:

  • Ensure projects adhere to safety guidelines, building codes, and applicable regulations.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify that work aligns with design specifications and quality standards.

Problem-Solving:

  • Address day-to-day challenges as they arise with creative, effective solutions.
  • Anticipate project needs and prioritize actions to meet deadlines and expectations.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management.
  • Proven track record of managing projects from concept to completion.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam).
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and safety standards.

Leadership Skills:

  • Exceptional organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and motivating teams to achieve deadlines.

Communication:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse project teams and clients.

Certifications (preferred): PMP (Project Management Professional), LEED Accreditation, OSHA Certification, or similar industry-recognized credentials.
