About the Role

The Company is in search of a new Member of the Board of Directors to play a pivotal role in the growth and governance of rugby in the United States. This is an active, working position that demands a dynamic and visionary leader with a proven track record in driving transformation and innovation. The ideal candidate will have a deep commitment to the sport, expertise in strategic leadership, governance, and operational excellence, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders to achieve tangible results. As the organization prepares for major international events, including the Olympic Games and World Cups, the successful candidate will be instrumental in shaping the future of rugby in the country, ensuring its competitiveness on the global stage, and strengthening domestic programs and community engagement. Applicants for the At-Large Director position should possess executive-level experience in areas such as marketing, development, non-profit operations, finance, law, human resources, sports business, or government affairs. Essential responsibilities of the role include promoting and developing interest in rugby, modeling the sport's core values, and overseeing the implementation of strategic and operational plans. The Board is particularly interested in candidates with a connection to rugby, whether as a player, coach, referee, administrator, supporter, or fan. The successful candidate will be expected to be or become a member of the organization, pass a background check, complete Safe Sport training, and adhere to the conflict of interest policy and other relevant guidelines.
