Essential Functions: This position will provide daily group therapy sessions in our Inpatient Behavioral health Unit.

The Art Therapist develops and delivers creative art therapy to assigned individuals, groups or families. Provides comprehensive art therapy assessment and treatment through active art making, creative processes, applied psychological theory, etc. to assist admitted patients in meeting treatment goals. Responsible for assessing the patient to determine psychosocial, developmental needs, facilitating expressive therapy-based education and adaptive coping strategies for patients.

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2 years of experience Clinical- pediatric healthcare/ behavioral health (CHNOLA)

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Required: Master's Degree Art Therapy (CHNOLA)

  • Certification Name: Basic Life Support HeartSaver & First Aid
    • Required
    • Issuer: American Heart Association
    • Licensure Speciality: Training Certification
